Au Revoire Paris

We took the opportunity to sleep in a bit today since we had several early mornings.  At 9:30 we met in the hotel lobby and set out on a walking tour of a different part of Paris.  We walked up to the Sacre Couer Church and to Montmartre.  Montmartre is a lovely little neighbourhood filled with shops, restaurants and artists.  It was a beautiful morning to stroll, shop and eat crepes!  From there we walked to Moulin Rouge, which is deemed as the Red Light District of Paris.  It is nothing like Amsterdam but it was still very interesting!  We walked back to our hotel, we put on about 10 km!
We grabbed our suitcases at the hotel and walked to the East train station to catch our 1:40 pm train to Metz.  Once again we rode on a TGV-high speed train.  Our top speed was 316 km/hour!  It only took us 1.5 hours to reach Metz.
Upon arrival in Metz, at 3 pm, our two guides, Rikko and Marcel, met us at the train station. Ina, from the boat, came with a car and picked up our luggage. We did a 4 km walking tour through Metz, on our way to the boat.
We were happy to arrive at the Quo Vadis, to meet up with the final couple in the group, Deb and Grant.  We got settled in to our rooms and headed to the top deck for happy hour!!  We met the crew from the boat and then had dinner.  Inma, our cook, is fantastic and the service is great!

After dinner we were ready for bed!
